October 28th, 2013

Deirdre Denning Norton, VP and Site Director, has become WellOne’s first graduate of the prestigious Leadership Rhode Island Program. This program, which seeks to develop Rhode Island’s future community, governmental and business leaders, is a ten-month endeavor that immerses class members in a multitude of rigorous and ambitious activities including community and economic development projects, networking, team building and other initiatives to benefit Rhode Islanders. Specifically, Deirdre and her other team members focused on determining the need for public transportation at the Quonset Business Park as key driver for the state’s economy.
Deirdre’s duties at WellOne include Chief Health Information Officer as well as serving as the Corporate Compliance and Privacy Officer. She is currently the Vice Chair of Board of Directors of the Sheila Skip Nowell Leadership Academy. She served as the WellOne representative for the West Bay Family Care Partnership as well as a South County Community Action Head Start Policy Council Member (2011- 2013).

Deirdre received her certification in Electronic Health Records (CPEHR) in 2012. She completed the Johnson & Johnson School of Health Care Executive Management/UCLA in 2008, and received a Health Information Certificate from Northeastern University as well as a BA from St. Anselm College

Please join us in congratulating Deirdre for this tremendous accomplishment.
