WELLONE TO HOST COMEDY FUNDRAISER

August 29th, 2014

Pascoag, RI – WellOne Primary Medical and Dental Care, a pioneer in public health for 100+ years, is banking that the old cliche “laughter is the best medicine” will attract a big crowd to their upcoming fundraiser on September 18, 2014 at The Comedy Connection in East Providence.

“Although it is a fundraiser for WellOne, the public is warmly invited to attend,” states Peter Bancroft, CEO and president of WellOne. “As a nonprofit organization, WellOne delivers medical and dental care to many uninsured and underinsured people from communities throughout Rhode Island. Proceeds from this event will help support our efforts to care for all people regardless of their ability to pay,” added Bancroft.

The show includes three performances from well-known local comedians: Maya Manion as host, John Porch as the feature and Frank Santorelli as the headliner. Located at 39 Warren Avenue in East Providence, doors open at 7 p.m. with an 8 p.m. showtime. Tickets are $15 per person and can be purchased by contacting WellOne at (401) 568-7664 ×153, by emailing or by purchasing at the door. Checks, cash or credit cards are accepted for all prepaid tickets. ###
