WELLONE CELEBRATES EXPANSION WITH A RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY

July 23rd, 2014

July 21, 2014 – WellOne Primary Medical and Dental Care celebrated the expansion of its North Kingstown facility with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on July 21. More than 60 WellOne supporters and friends gathered at the Callahan Road facility to commemorate the occasion. The dedication featured the ribbon cutting, comments from WellOne’s president and CEO Peter Bancroft, testimony from dental patient Lisa Kinnes, tours of the new addition and refreshments.

Joining Susan Fadden ©, a WellOne employee are WellOne board members Susan Millis, Dave Dejesus, Jr., Chuck Rice and Keith Mailloux.

The expansion enhances WellOne’s patient service delivery capacity through the addition of three dental treatment rooms and meeting space for patient consultations. Funding for the project was derived from bank financing and a capital grant from The Champlin Foundations.

“This project represents the latest in a series of capital investments that the organization has made in its facilities over the past five years to better respond to the health care needs of our patients,” stated Bancroft. “The expansion will enable WellOne to serve an additional 400 patients at our North Kingstown facility during the upcoming year.”

According to Bancroft, the North Kingstown facility served more than 3,000 patients in 2013.

Lisa Kinnes, her husband and two children have been using WellOne’s dental services for the past two years. She stated, “I am very satisfied with the care they provide. They are extremely helpful and accommodating,” she adds. “They listen, it’s convenient and they don’t push you to have work done that may not be needed immediately.” ###
